An earlier 1956 film a French and East German co-production

What I want post is the 2014 TV movie since I think it's still good but since it's doesn't fit the theme of thread being movies that have nudity this one doesn't it was originally broadcast at 16:15 so very deliberate decision to go with the more child friendly Till Eulenspiegel stories. The 1974 East German has an FSK rating of 18 meaning it can only be broadcast between 23:00-06:00 so remake in style of that film would be hard to justify. Considering that it's not bad movie other than I want to moan about the soundtrack I do understand it's cheap royalty free music but it's used in so many movies now it grated on me a bit.
