Omg, I saw you naked on Google!

Naturism, photography and Internet, great mix or asking for trouble? I love taking pictures of things I see or do, my love for selfies is even bigger. I loved looking at photos when I was a little kid. Didn’t matter what was in it. Could be a car, a person, a historical event, you name it. The fact that you can make an eternal visual memory from something, fascinates me. And the fact that it’s eternal, should make you think about what you photograph, how you do it and now, in this internet society, where you place it.

When I started my naturist Twitter account I decided to place nude photos of me aswell. It wasn’t like I specially got undressed for the perfect nude selfie, I already was undressed. I love to show people what I’m doing in my life so I take pictures. I take pictures when I’m clothed at work or at a party. But when I’m naked in the privacy of my own home or when I’m at a nude beach and I wanna share with my followers what I’m doing, I’ll take a photo. For me being naked is just as normal as having a coffee when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I’m not even realizing I’m naked at all. Any how, I tweeted these pics and I noticed that when you use certain hashtags, porn accounts will use or retweet your photos. Now of course, you can say I could’ve thought about that but I didn’t. Simply because I don’t see casual and social nudity as a sexual thing.

Now I don’t have anything against porn or sex. I do however, have something against selling porn as naturism. My follow policy on my Twitter account is very strict. And not only because I want to seperate naturism from sexual content, but also because my Twitter account is my Twitter for my webshops aswell. And I don’t think big names as Spreadshirt and Zazzle would like it to be linked in one sentence with porn. My account always was open for everyone to see. I would check what my new followers tweet and retweet, who they follow and what those accounts tweet. If it was anything sexual I would block them instantly. But when I took a small Twitter break in July of this year some pictures of me and my girlfriend ended up on pornaccounts. That’s why I closed my account for the time being. You now have to request if you may follow me. When things cool down I will make it open again. Why you ask? Well for one simple reason. It’s very hard to convince ” textile people ” how liberating and free naturism is and at the same time hide myself behind censorship and a followrequest.

This however won’t stop me from making and posting pictures from my life. I still love sharing what I do and I know a lot of you enjoy aswell. Together with some good Twitter friends as Björ, Marc, Paul and Jason we make it a daily struggle to keep online naturism pornfree. And it’s worth the struggle, because if we don’t, the pornaccounts will take over and naturism as we know it will be gone within the next 20 years. And we have to keep posting photos to show people that are interested that naturism really is non sexual, normal and accepted around the globe. They need to see the influence of naturism on bodyconfidence and bodyacceptance. And if we, real naturist people around the world, don’t show them, who will?

So remember that it’s not weird to make nude pictures. It can even help loving yourself by watching yourself from another angle. But be very aware of what kind of photo you take and where you post. Be aware of the people that follow you. Don’t make genital close ups or pictures with everything in it except your head. I know some of you want to stay anonymous, but pictures like that really don’t help. They just draw the attention to parts of your body that have nothing to do with showing what naturism is. Then it’s better for the cause to post no pictures at all.

It doesn’t always have to be a bad thing to be recognizable in nude pictures. I think the majority of my girlfriends family have seen me naked before they even met me. Simply because they googled the name of my shop. As long as the pictures you make really show what you stand for you got nothing to be ashamed of. Sure some people you know will laugh, make jokes or judge you. Question you have to ask yourself is: ” Does that have to stop me from achieving my goal? “. For me the answer is no. I’ll keep promoting naturism in the most honest, open ways there are and if that includes me being naked in front of a camera, so be it. Naturism is to good for so many people to let it go down the drain. We have to keep promoting and tell people what it is.

If only people were more educated in naturism, it wouldn't be so shocking. and peoples ideas of the perfect body would change dramatically..

Nice article, thanks for sharing

He also runs 2Bare2Wear which sells naturist stuff and custom stuff so if there demand for an IYNO coffee mug we could approach this guy and make it happen.

I've wondered a lot about all that. I like my pics of me naked seen by people. I guess if someone sees me for sex, that's just natural too, actually. So it's all good :) but mainly if I can just be seen, natural and naked, I actually like that! :) I hope it doesn't cause trouble, though :(
