Interview with Americanswede
« on: September 21, 2016, 09:40:03 pm »
I grew up in a tiny conservative town in Oregon. When I was 16 I moved to Sweden as an exchange student. My first week there I was on one of the islands on family vacation. I played volleyball with a naked guy and two naked girls. It was a shocking first nudist social experience -- I feared getting a boner so much, I got a boner, haha. Everyone was so cool and it was awesome to swim and run around and be nude. I felt real freedom. It's was a great first impression of Sweden and naturism.

After my year in Sweden -- vowing to come back asap, which I did -- I went home to Oregon and shared being naked with all my fellow campers in the Boy Scouts. Every campout I would run around naked and slowly all the other guys would join in. Rarely the Scoutmasters would join in; mostly they just wrote it off as boys being boys in the woods.

My first college was in San Diego and I would go to Black's Beach. Then I took time to explore the world by becoming a flight attendant. In many of the countries I would hunt for nude beaches, nude yoga, nude meetups, etc. Whatever naked connection could be made. Met so many awesome people and developed a real interest in experience the many cultures worldwide.

Then I went to school for a bit in Los Angeles and settled for naked Hollywood pool parties and dorm room hijinks.  The nearest nude beaches were too long a commute so we improvised. My friends and I used to drive to the Taco Bell drive-thru naked in my car at the time (a Jeep Wrangler Sport) with the top down and flirt with the cashier. (She thought it was good fun; Her Manager called the cops and they told us to get ourselves back to campus.)

While in college I started working in television. My career took off so I never got my degree. I am a producer and travel a lot for work. I have done series based in USA, Sweden and Australia. I love traveling, so I regularly take of near and far whenever I have the time. And road trips are so awesome. I love filling the Volvo with friends and taking off to the beach, mountains, desert or cities no more than a day's drive away. We often will drive at least some of the trip naked just for laughs.

I am also an avid Couchsurfer. I have hosted hundreds from all over the world. For many it is their first time with social nudity, and everyone has had a great time. So if anyone is ever traveling to Los Angeles or Stockholm, send me a message if ya want to couchsurf at my flat. At home I have hosted many naked parties, potlucks, concerts, game nights, etc. I love bringing people together nude.

How's that?

Hugs,
@AmericanSwede

Hahahhhaa. Thanks all for your interest. I love this IYNO community! I'm not a big fan of talking about myself, which is why I have not done an AMA here, but since this interview thing has happened I will open the floor to any other questions.

So... Go ahead naked peoples... Ask me anything.

1. What keeps you here? I mean, what attracted you to this little village and why do you stay?  (we are so blessed you do!)

2. What do you like best of IYNO?

3. What do you like least?

I couldn't help but see the connection of your travels with the Volvo.

1. I don't remember how I found IYNO originally, but am grateful it exists. It is always awesome to meet like minded people online and irl.

2. sharing experiences, members photo gallery, connecting with people about nudist stuff when I travel

3. I am surprised how few IYNO people I have met in real life. I have had the good experience of meeting two in LA, one in Portland (from Seattle) and one in New York. But everywhere else we couldn't make that final actual connection.

The Volvo is not even a year old. Before that it was a Chev Equinox. Before that my Jeep Wrangler.

But road trips are a frequent thing for me.
