YEAH THERE ARE! There are actually like 3 arcade game places you can go and thats really all they have. They are a real big hotspot for a lot of people probably because like you said they are slowly diminishing.

Wow! This looks like fun! I used to be such an arcade and old school consoles nerd. I hope this place becomes a national chain.

I have seen few arcades here locally, but most are Neo-Geo games. I'm a fan of old Konamy, Midway and Capcom arcades.

I don't know about NEW arcade games, but there's a good few machines all over the country, usually in seaside arcades and bowling alleys. Sometimes you can even come across some real gems like Point Blank, Episode 1 Racer, Mario Kart, Primal Rage or even, dare I say, The Simpsons.

In Germany there are the play halls (Spielhallen) with many (also modern) arcade machines and I saw them also in CR.

Seems like theyre making a come back. Several new "Barcades" opened up near me, one in the town next door. Gonna have to check it out!

You're in IL as well, so yeah, you're gonna have an easy time finding 'em, provided you don't live TOO FAR from Chicago or the Chicagoland area...

One of my friends has an arcade machine in his living room but still miss the arcade games @ the carnivals though  .

There are almost no public arcades left in our country which is an absolute shame :( there are some newer arcade halls to be found which consist of ticket-collecting games that can then be traded in for prizes, but they are way too expensive for the fun games provide.

when I was on vacation in California last year we took a walk through the massive arcades at Santa Cruz Boardwalk and I wish I could have stayed there a lot longer

I've been in Amsterdam in 2015 and I've been in a arcade loungue there!
