Runescape
« on: April 25, 2017, 08:22:40 am »
Does anyone play or has anyone played Runescape? If so what do you think about the game?
I have played it for a long time but I stopped a while ago. I still like the game but just don't have time to play.

I play sometimes.  Not lately though cause of some pc problems.  Been playing since 06 give or take.  I think I liked it better when it embraced being its own thing, rather than trying to be a WoW imitation.

Yeah, I agree. That's why I played oldschool but unfortunately you have to start all over.

I played a very long time ago. I remember a lot of people didn't like me because I had a cape. At the time it was considered a rare item.

I personally feel that the game is no longer viable in this day and age. Mostly because of the way outdated graphics and a very simplistic form a playing. Not to mention it's age as well. I think it will always be around because of the diehard players that have played for a long time, but I don't really foresee that many new players.

They changed the whole game. The graphics, the combat system, the layout. They even have new skills and a lot of new quests and new items. Runescape is now more modern. However that's also the reason why many players quit. A while ago they released Runescape 2007 again and it's called oldschool. Most players play oldschool but some like the new graphics and gameplay. I don't really recommend the new version though.

I remember checking it out once the "new school" version came out, that was about the last time I played. Old school was awesome and the amount of time I spent playing was disgusting but damn was it fun!
