To get in to Second Life you just need to download and install something called the SL viewer.  This is your eyes and hands while you're in the simulation. It's like watching a film starring yourself. Every person you meet in Second Life is a real person. There's no cost for any of this.
Everything you need to know can be found here.   https://secondlife.com

Where do we go for the nudist camp?

Once you're in the game you can search for places and fimd nude beaches, or try googling hiw ro use SL
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Yea, last time i was in SL there weren't a lot of people either, don't know if SL lost its popularity or maybe it depends on people in different time zones.
Maybe we can try to arrange a "meeting" there for the forum members.
If i remember correctly when you add someone as a friend you can get a notification when he comes online and i think you can also send them messages offline

Where do we go for the nudist camp?

Second Life is HUGE. And it's international. Just because you turn up to a single place and there's no one there doesn't mean it's dead.  it probably means you’ve turned up at the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s pretty much like real life. If you turn up at 3 o’clock in the morning to a Club meeting, only to find you’re not only at the wrong time, but in the wrong country, then you can expect not to see anyone.

Imagine if a flying saucer landed and the occupants got out, went to the first person they met and said “where do we go for the nudist camp?“, It would be pretty much the same reaction that you’d get if you approach someone in Second Life and asked them the same question.
There are usually around 65,000 people logged in Second Life  at any one time. And they’re spread over an area which is equivalent to the size of a small continent. There are many diverse different factions who are enjoying themselves. They fly, sail, surf, race cars, hunt vampires, dock their starships in space stations, socialise, build things, and Role-Play, And some of them also do a lot of naughty sexy things. None of these have anything to do with naturism. But there are some areas where naturism is not only allowed but encouraged. Most “naturist camps” in SL are little more than excuses to have sex. But there are some genuine places in there, you just have to find them. And the Eden Naturist Estate is one of the largest of it’s kind. It’s a place where many of the Second Life residents come to make their home and live in a clothes free environment. They don’t do it all the time, just like in real life. Just remember, most genuine places in Second Life are communities, not “camps“.

The other thing to remember is that Second Life is not a game as such. You don’t “play“ it. There is no objective or goal except those that you set for yourself. I once heard someone say “if you want to know how to play Second Life, you must be doing it wrong“.

Here's something.  The one on the left is Melanie.  I met her on another forum a few weeks ago and we got chatting.  She said she'd never been to a naturist resort because she hadn't had the nerve. I told her she might benefit from trying out naturism virtually, in Second Life.  She had never heard of it.

She soon got the hang of how to control her avatar and within a couple of weeks of joining, she and I were taking a boat out and sailing the tropical waters around the naturist estate of Eden. That's how easy it is.  She says she now feels much more confident about it and is even considering trying out the real thing.

If you have any questions for her, you can ask her yourself on the forum where I met her.  I can give you the details.
