Stanley Cup Final

Hey guys (and girls)!

Just was wondering if anyone here watches NHL or hockey in general. If you didn't know the Stanley Cup Final is coming up between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators. Was wondering what your opinions are. Who you got? Stuff like that.

For me if you know my profile pic you probably have a good idea as to who I'm picking and rooting for, but I think Nashville will put up an incredible fight. Rinne is hot right now and the Preds are a dangerous team and maybe the best 8 seed in NHL history.

What do you guys think?

I'm backing Nashville. I'm still salty from last year when Tampa blew their chance being 3-2 in that eastern final series against Pittsburg.

Haha yeah that ECF series last year was so back and forth between both teams and I think the winner of that series was destined to win the cup. Lucky for me PittsburgH (easiest way to make us mad is to forget the H lol). I actually don't hate Tampa Bay and probably would've rooted for them if they had beat the Pens.

I don't really hate any teams just really like Tampa bay lightning. And I'm not from from USA so I'm sure you could forgive me with the whole Pittsburgh thingy.

Nashville, just for the change, Pitt has a couple of cups so.....plus a little  more salt in the 'habs' wounds from dealing PK.

I always like seeing new teams win if they aren't playing my favorite team, so I wouldn't be very mad if the Preds win. Also that PK trade still makes me laugh.

Game 6 should be interesting, which goalie for nashville shows up...the good pekka or bad pekka.

He's been good at home and bad on the road. Since it's in Nashville probably good Pekka.

Well, considering I'm a Detroit fan, I would have to say Nashville.  I don't really like Nashville at all (I still remember Shea Weber pushing Zetterberg's face into the glass and getting away with it), but I hate Pittsburgh after the back to back finals in '08 and '09.  Realistically, I think Pittsburgh is going to win though because Pekka Rinne has been hot garbage on the road this series and, even though Nashville seems unstoppable at home, they don't have home ice advantage.  If the Predators were to win, they would have to steal a game on the road, which I just don't see happening.

I was very sad to see Nashville loose. The penguins had there win last year.

Eggmoose, bang on, they haven't been good on the road, the winning goal though was still lucky more than skill but that is the way it works.

I am not disappointed either way, Toronto didn't make it past first round :P
