The A-Team (2010)
« on: January 12, 2010, 04:24:26 pm »
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them; maybe you can hire the A-Team.

So we've got:

Wise cracking heroes spouting cheesy one liners.
Unbelievable action sequences with lots of explosions.
The A-Team van.

I can't wait.

I was just coming in here to make a topic on this. I was never around to see the original so I'm going into this a completely new fan. What do you guys think of the castings for this?

No original Mr. T??? I'm dissapointed. The new guy looks a bit lame in that preview. Here's the real Mr.T from the original A-Team for those who don't know.

Snickers Speedwalker Ad

So who is the cast for this?

I used to love the show when I was a kid.

For the casting.  Liam Neeson as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith looks good.  Chomping on a cigar and saying "I love it when a plan comes together.

Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck looks pretty good and rather badass when firing that machine gun at a fighter jet while in a parachuting tank.

Sharlto Copley as Capt. 'Howling Mad' Murdock doesn't seem as crazy in high pressure situations as the origional character; however he doesn't get much time in the trailer and I don't know anything about the actor.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson as 'B.A.' Baracus.  Jackson is a UFC fighter more than an actor and his moments in the trailer seem to lack to "fuck you" attitude that Mr. T brought to the character, and is still bringing 25 years later to ads for "World of Warcraft."

I wasn't going to see this film...

...but then I realised Liam Neeson was in it. Count me in.
On an extended IYNO break... for now.

I agree with Toddo that this Mister T wannabe looks quite shallow compared to the original character.  The film could still be entertaining ;)

Trailer 2 is out.

Still looked forward to this.  Still think that that UFC fighter as BA looks like the weak point.

Nah, B.A. still looks lame I agree Fitz, but at least the rest of the movie looks totally cliche...I think I'll pass.

The original Mr. T is just too iconic to easily replace, and the new guy doesn't seem up to the task.
