@Lisette you should check out Kiss Him, Not Me. It's a super cute manga that was given an anime earlier this year. It isn't really a yaoi but its about a fangirl that loves shipping boys. The funny thing is that all the boys she ships seek her out.

I enjoy anime and reading manga but I'm not really a hardcore fan.

My favorites are those that try to have a profound emotional impact.  Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Neon Genesis.  I just watched Jin-Roh, the Wolf Brigade.  It fell short in hitting me with those feels but it was still pretty decent.

I'm gonna have to check those out. Don't know much about them.

Kino's Journey is the one that I'm most interested in this season, personally. Already hooked by the first episode.
Watched the first episode of Food Wars too. I'm not super into the show, but I might watch it anyway >_>

I was never fond of mangas , but i really loved Bleach the manga and th anime (especially for the music), after, there was an anime i fallen in love when i was little boy, it's the mecha anime ARGENTO SOMA

Bleach is super popular. I don’t really watch it but the fandom loves it. You sound like my bf too when you say you like the music. My bf is always singing songs from anime haha...especially from sailor moon

I was same at first on not being fond of manga but after reading a view I got hooked on it. Some times the manga is actually better than the show. I suggest is to find the genre you like and try a few from it
