It said somewhere in the introduction thing that when you join you need to update your profile, but I can't really see where to do that? Sorry if I'm being stupid I just don't want to get kicked out after the week.

I think maybe they mean a up-to-date "forum profile" (found in the Profile menu)

Just update some info about yourself and include an image of your choice. Regardless i dont think you will be kicked from the forum :P
