Hey all! Just wondering if anyone here is into musical improvisation. What do you like? I am really getting into the improv scene, and suggestions would be cool.

Oh cool! I have been getting really into it. I've found recently the Aebersold books are also actually really helpful if you have the right ones. Have you been listening to anyone?

I grew up playing classical so improv is very hard to me. Totally suck at it. Lol. At school there was a joke that went around. If you ever want to stump a classical musician all you have to do is put a chord chart in front of them, and to stump a guitarist all you have to do is put sheet music in front of them. Lol

I do musical improv, but that’s as a performer not musician.
