FIFA World Cup 2018
« on: June 16, 2018, 01:03:19 am »
Is anyone following/interested in/watching/listening to the FIFA World Cup in Russia?

What are your thoughts on it so far? Which team/s are you going for?

Feel free to update this thread as the World Cup progresses  :azn: However don't give spoilers for those who don't want to hear the scores right away

Did anyone see the Spain vs Portugal game? Unbelievable!

Supporting England but expect it to be the typical disappointment!

I’m watching but I’m surprised that US didn’t qualify this time. :/

Spain vs Portugal was a good one.

This website is good, it has a calendar to add to the iPhones calendar. https://fixtur.es/en/wedstrijden/fifa-2018-russia/ronde/1

Easier than googling all the time for times.

@nudetotheworld  The French team played badly for this first match. I give the Blues a score of 4.5/10 ...

I was a bit saddened with the Australian team's inability to recognise that they were playing a non-contact sport... I felt the French team played slightly better myself, but I guess different perspectives is good

Yeah it's interesting to watch. I was surprised how Iceland stood against Argentina and Mexico beating Germany.

Still sad that USA and Italy didn't quality

germany was a bit disappointing yesterday. i hope the get far but they have to improve a lot.
i would say france has a good chance to win the cup.

@prodigal_son spain vs cr7 was indeed an unbelievable match. and maybe england can get far, at least they will be more successful than in the last years.

Belgium is rocking today. The game would have been more exciting if it was closer.

The England game last night was torture! Hopefully not a sign of things to come. I felt like Tunisia stopped us playing and getting a rhythm with constant fouling and a desire to settle for an ill-gained draw.
