Get Naked, IMAGE COMICS

I came across a graphic novel by chance in a local comic store and flipped through it. I thought it was interesting, but didn't feel like buying it at the time. From first glance, it's mostly a retrospective from a guy that don't usually get naked -- get naked and ruminate in his thought on his state of undress in different settings. It's a collection of stories drawn by different illustrators.

The author is right.
"“For most of my life I had massive reservations about getting naked,” confessed Seagle. “But the more I traveled the world, and found myself in uncomfortable situations, the more it became obvious that the American anxiety of ‘I’m not taking my clothes off in front of anyone else unless it’s to have sex with them’ is unique—and not in a good way—to the US."

But to be frank, it's really not just the US.
A lot of countries in the West and the middle East.
Much less in Africa or South America.

Might have to check this out. Sounds cool. I have a good local comic shop by work that has a decent stock of Image stuff. Maybe I'll stop by.

I've read excerpts from my local comic store. It's engaging in a way that people who have rarely come across nudity in a social setting come to terms with their feelings on the subject. I'll have to pick it up the next time I run into it.

sounds like an interesting read, I don't usually or really ever go into comic stores but now I do with a purpose I guess lol
