I was learning to play guitar but stopped. I'm just now picking it up again.

I play a bit of the Irish tin Whistle (Feadog) but I'm a bit out of practice, I'm inspired by some of the lists in This thread to get it going again

I've been playing bass guitar for over 20 years now (god i'm getting old) in played in all sorts of bands in all sorts of styles, including pop, blues, power metal, soul, jazz...

But my biggest dream of all came true when I started learning to play the double bass in my mid-twenties. I have played in several symphonic orchestra's since then.

I also play a bit of piano, but don't really excel at that. I can play the first page of my favorite piano concerto's though :)

I can't remember if I've answered this. I used to play the saxophone, but that was back in grade school. I've come to not like it as much because it can't typically play soft (unloud) and I didn't like how the reed sometimes felt like it might give me a papercut. I wouldn't mind learning the guitar, though it's disappointing that it's a bit cliche of an instrument.

I'm a guitarist

I found our today that my teacher passed away and just now have the time to really take that in.  I am honored and humbled to have been influenced by such an amazing individual. She was a true giver with grace. Her memory will live on through the beauty she inspired in this world.

Mostly drum set, with a little bit of brass and piano thrown in. I grew up playing jazz and Afro-Cuban stuff (I had a great Brazilian drum teacher). I've gotten way into Balinese music lately (youtube "gamelan") and am hoping to break into Tibetan dranyen music this summer. I'm an ethnomusicologist, so I guess all of this kind of makes sense... :D
