I tried it ages ago, and didn't stick with it. I think i will start it again, given that we will have a few weeks of lockdown and plenty of time on our hands.

Totally! I’m actually using it very often now to learn Spanish! ¡Duolingo es lo mejor para aprender español!

Currently working through German and Swedish. Really love duolingo!

Interessant, warum genau diese beiden Sprachen?
(Interessing, why this languages?)

I tried also to learn scandinavian languages, and started with dansk in babbel, but I made a too big break so I think I have to start again.

I used it for a while to polish up my French, I don't think it's that great since it doesn't explain the rules very well, ones I luckily already knew because of taking french in middle school. But it's free and every bit helps. I've been using it a bit for Spanish but you have to supplement it with reading on the rules of the language and asking actual language speakers.

I've used Duolingo before. I would always be enthusiastic for the first few days but then just lose interest in it. I guess that's more on me than the app.

Duolingo is good, but it definitely shouldn't be the only tool that anyone uses. Imo it doesn't teach grammar particularly well, or nuances that make various languages unique. Nothing wrong with it, but it won't get you fluent on its own

Agreed. I'm learning japanese on duolingo now. Its okay to learn some vocab and to have basic basic conversations maybe. Like introduction and stuff.
