Can I ask why you chose Dutch? not many people learn Dutch since it is not such a wide spread language :P

I’d like to visit the Netherlands one day. Plus I like to be different and not go for the obvious choice.

That's really cool. In the Netherlands basically everyone can speak English. That makes it harder to learn when you visit the Netherlands because everyone just starts talking English to you as soon as they hear you're from the UK. But it can also be nice not having to worry about people not understanding you :)

Indeed, I was amazed that literally everyone did speak (excellent) English. That’s one of their education pillar.
...just same as in Italy, not?!

Regarding Duolingo, I used it when I moved to Germany while I was attending German classes.
As an app, I find great and good to practice in gamification mode.
Itself isn’t probably sufficient for learning a new language, at least in my case

I'm using it with spanish and great for the basics but would need something more to dive deeper.
