cc71:
I am learning Italian on Duolingo.

nudistteen400:
I've tried it for Japanese, but I ended up using lingodeer instead which works a lot better for Asian languages.

Cle Leftwrite:
I'm currently using Duolingo for Japanese. On a side note I noticed one day that they have options to learn Klingon and High Valeryian, but not any for the languages J.R.R. Tolkien made up for his works and I'm kind of upset about that.

carbon:
I was using Duolingo for Japanese for a while, but it just didn’t feel quite right. I feel like it’s a placebo app that only makes you convinced that you’re actually learning the language even though in reality, you’re simply improving your vocabulary pool and syntax.

It could be a good supplement for actual courses in a language or one-to-one Skype calls or conversation meetups, but I can’t imagine myself learning a language using the app.

But then again, I might just not be suited for this sort of learning style, and it genuinely works.

Ericadabra:
I’m using it for Spanish!! But I’m also taking Spanish in school lol
