Hello to all!
I wonder if there are any runners on this forum?
I started running in the mountains a few weeks ago, I was wondering if you had any advice, websites or youtube channels to help me progress. There are a lot of resources on the internet and it's not easy to sort them out!
Thanks :)
I run twice a week for an hour each as part of my fitness routine . I use Nike running app and Strava for guidance and tracking
Cheers

Sometimes, but not more than 1h

To get better you just need to practice. For me, to work on my form, I do free standing calf raises on one foot. If you can do at least 20 on each side, your all good. If not, you may be susceptible to a ankle injury

From age 14 thru 18  i ran 5 miles every morning.  After high school i went to tech school and then a job now I run 5 miles but only 3 or 4 times a week.

I love running but it doesn't love me lol. Had a bad fall when running off road last year, bruised my kidneys, suffered nerve damage in my hand and cut my face to pieces. A year on still suffering from nerve damage and haven't got back into running yet

I run on suburban residential streets

I'm planning to start trail running soon, since I live very close to a small forest. I always neglected cardio but it's time to change that :D

Used to run in high school, but it's hard for me to run on tracks or pavement because of my knees. I have a peloton I use at home tho!

Love running. I've ran a marathon several times under three hours. As boring as it sounds, you get better at running by running more. Pace is not that important, track the distance you do weekly and build it up slowly but also remember to have lighter weeks every month or so.

I still hesitate to call myself a runner, because people have varying definitions of what that means.  I do go on runs, for exercise, but I'm not fast, or competitive, and I'm not training or any specific goal/pace/distance.

My typical runs are around 3-4 miles long at a pace in the 9-9:30 range.  If I want to run more miles, I'll slow down, or if I really want to push myself, I can kick it up to the 8-9 minute pace, but generally can't sustain it for very long.

It's definitely one of those things that becomes easier the more you do it.  Since I started about 5 years ago, I've had some stretches where I didn't run for a while, and that first run getting back into it SUCKS.  Lately, I feel like I've been pretty consistent with it and I've definitely noticed an improvement in both perceived effort and speed.
