Gypsy Taub – A San Francisco Nude Activist

I was checking out the FKK Museum, a website that I had discovered through a post here on IYNO and at the bottom of the page, found something that piqued my interest:

Gypsy Taub is a Russian-American activist located in the San Francisco area. She started activism back in 2000, when her oldest child was born. She has participated in many protests, including the Nude Summer Love Parade in San Francisco during the third quarter of 2016, which you can watch here:

I see Taub is very dedicated in legalising public nudity in San Francisco. As far as I know, she isn’t a naturist, but obviously does partake in body freedom rallies along with her three children. Personally, I do think she has a certainly interesting way of fighting for it. For example, on November 20th 2012, Gypsy Taub publicly undressed in San Francisco City Hall at a meeting about a bill passing the ban of nudity.

I was on the fence about her for a long time.  I wish we had more militant nudism activists, to really push the envelope.  But then I read about her trying to have a "relationship" with one of her son's friends who was like 14 at the time... so yikes there.

"On Aug. 26, 2021, a jury found defendant Oxane Taub guilty of 20 counts-- from felony charges of stalking, dissuading a witness, and attempted child abduction to misdemeanor counts for violating protective orders and child molest.

The defendant, a 50-year-old woman, became fixated on a 14-year-old boy in 2018. Over the course of 14 months, she sent him numerous obsessive emails, created blogs directed at him, used his friends to send him messages and eventually tried to abduct him a few blocks from his school in Berkeley. While the case was pending, Taub also tried to dissuade the victim from testifying.

DDA Lori Mullins prosecuted the trial, with assistance from Victim-Witness Advocate Erica Chavis.

Taub is expected to be sentenced on September 23, 2021 in Department 5.

I think at one time she was an inspiration but now I think she's giving nudism  a bad reputation. I think the people that are against it they will categorize  nudists as pervs

Holy shit that's nonce behaviour, that. I was completely unaware that was a thing that she did. If Taub really actually is expected to be sentenced nearing the end of this month, then her recent post on her blog at mynakedtruth.tv must be giving her readers false hope.

She’s a total whack job. Years ago I saw a video of her making allegations against a man who attended her events for making sexual advances towards her then 12yo daughter referring to emails sent to the girl from the man. She even brought it up in a speech to one of her events while that man was present, so we’re her children including the daughter you’d think she’d be keeping safe! I thought then there was a distinct smell of BS because if the allegations were all true particularly regarding emails then she’d have kept them to show police and the man would be sent down.

Then this whole case against her came to light and she was accused of stalking and attempting to kidnap a 14yo boy who went to school with her son. If I remember rightly, before this kicked off she led people to believe her children were home schooled. Then there’s the utter hypocrisy of dragging someone through the mud while committing the same crimes herself. Emails! On her blog she claims these emails simply contained music. If emails are being used as evidence against her then there’s more to them than simply sharing music. There’s a message contained inside the music that demonstrates her desire for him if not a body of text with it with such messages or she was outright sending more than just music!

But hey I’m just playing arm chair lawyer, the only people who know what is really going on are the people involved ie her, the kid (possibly her own too) police, lawyers, judge and jury! All in all though this is a serious shit stain on naturists everywhere. Thanks, psycho bitch!

I would go one step further. The only people whom I trust to know the full story are Gypsy and the kid. And the only person I would trust to be able to give an accurate account is the kid, and even then only under very specific circumstances (off-the-record conversation with a trusted individual). Gypsy would obviously be biased to save her ass and her narrative (that her "kidnapping" plans were here trying to rescue the kid from an abusive situation), and any external investigators may be biased by her blatant flaunting of social norms.

I just feel bad for her kids with what she'd done and her limited contact with them. I highly doubt she'll be leaving prison any time soon.
