Doctor Who Flux Finale (SPOILER DISCUSSION)

I'm not really sure how many people saw the series finale but I wanted to know what you all thought of the final episode of the Flux series?! I'm a bit confused... Are they just ignoring the fact that 99% of the universe got obliterated by the Flux? Do you think they'll try to fix it in the New Years specials?

Yep I’m totally confused no idea what’s going on. We still got to find out what all these lost memories are about too, did the doc to have more lives before William Hartnell or is the whole thing some big plot to drive the Doctor crazy and lure her into something nasty?

I'll tell you what's going on. An incompetent writer is doing his best to destroy everything about doctor who. The past is being rewritten and the doctor is too. One of the things that made the Doctor such an honorable character was the fact that he was a nobody, who stole a time machine. He wasn't a one of a kind infinite lives superhero, and he said specifically throughout many regeneration that he was not a hero and did not want to be seen as one! And now here comes chibbs the idiot to tell us that everything we'd previously seen was wrong. Now the doctor is this invulnerable special person which totally removes the importance of regeneration. What about when 11 (Matt Smith) ran out of regens and was about to get killed by the daleks in the bell tower? He was granted a new set of regenerations by the time lords. I guess that's meaningless now too.

Flux is a huge dumpster fire. It makes no sense whatsoever, but this is what you get with morons run the show. Fuck chris chibnal!

Yeah... Weren't they supposed to retcon the timeless child storyline? And then Chibnall decided to put everything into it instead? I don't think we'll end up seeing the memories and the timeless child storyline will just be dropped now since Chibnall didn't want to set up RTD to have to figure out someway to explain why The Doctor isn't looking at the memories (hence why they dropped the memory locket into the depths of the Tardis). It's just a hot burning mess, what was Chibnall thinking?

The only reasonable explanation I can give for the Timelords 'granting' 11 a new set of generations is they wanted to try to hide the fact that The Doctor could regenerate more than what he should've been able to, but ofcourse, that'd be cannon added in after the fact since I HIGHLY doubt they planned for the Timeless Child crap back then!

I suspect that regardless of what Chibnal does RTD could figure out a way if he felt so inclined. For the time lords giving 11 (or 13, thanks for adding more confusion Moffat!) it had been long established that a time lord had 13 lives going back to the 1996 tv movie so idk if that explanation works.

I will say that The Flux series was much better compared to the previous seasons (despite the ending being strange).  That being said, I have enjoyed Jodie Whittaker's take on the Doctor and I think she deserved better scripts.  I said the same about Capaldi.

Eve of the Daleks in a couple of days! Hope it's good, the trailer was quite promising.

The trailer:

Two days ago, they also released the same trailer, except it was 8 minutes long (because time loop shizzle) and I just thought it was quite amusing they uploaded that.

I've been really disappointed by the last few seasons. So much potential, that seems wasted at the last minute, like they forgot why they were writing some of those stories... Super annoying for the fans.

But that said, some people loved it, so I guess that's how it goes. You can't be happy all the time.
