Recommended books in your native languages
(1/1)
Northman:
Hi,
I have been wanting to ask this question for a while now, and it stems mostly from my desire to improve my language skills and to read authors in their original words.
Can you recommend books, collections of short stories, novels ... anything that you feel would bring out what is beautiful in your countries literature?
I have been interested and slowly been learning spanish, german, swedish, and french mostly these days, but this is a question open for anyone to share titles of books and
possibly something what you find appealing in them.
And what do you think about the possibility that once an authors original works get translated, is there a possibility that something is lost in the process, even though the words are there?

It's one of the most important novels in the spanish language, here it is compulsory to read it at school. Just like Shakespeare is for the English speakers
