Bates Beach Petition

Bates is a great clothing optional beach in Central/Southern California. Although it's not "officially" a nude beach, the Friends Of Bates Beach organization has made a deal with the city council and local police that, since it's traditionally been clothing optional, they will not cite nude beachgoers unless they get complaints, and even then they will give warnings first. Polls show that the vast majority of locals support this initiative and I have never heard any complaints or seen any police activity all the times I've been there.

It's great having this place to be nude and free but knowing that a vocal minority could ruin it for all of us, we'd like to get it in the law books. We're asking anyone to please sign this petition to try and get the state and local governments to officially recognize part of Bates Beach as clothing optional.
