Bolita Rainforest Hostel
« on: August 17, 2022, 10:09:08 pm »
I’ve been looking recently at places I can travel to next year and I came across Bolita Rainforest Hostel.

Bolita is located on 61 hectares in the rainforest  in Costa Rica. To get to it there is a 30 min steep hike through the rainforest. The hostel itself is quite barebones with no electricity and only basic facilities.

One of the good things about Bolita is that it has it’s own private trails, rivers and 4 waterfalls. It seems like the perfect hostel for being in nature and animal spotting.

What makes Bolita so interesting is that they have a clothing optional policy. Which means you can be naked in the hostel and on their trails.

Their website is: https://bolita.org and they are also on booking.com (But I believe they are closed from September - December).

Has anyone heard of or been to this hostel?

It looks really interesting. I am actually surprised that something like that is in a latin american country! I would love to visit that place sometime.
Today is always THE day

Did you eventually manage to get there? I saw this place before and it sounds like paradise, but it seems to be pretty hard to get there from Europe. Any tips would be appreciated :)

Not yet, I've not been able to get the time of work to go travelling. But when I do, I will definitely visit when I get a chance!

Heard about this places before and it seems amazing. Like everything I would want it to be.

Sounds both nice and very primitive. Very in touch with nature with few modern amenities. But what I don't like it the lack of refrigeration, blame it on my now many years of being use to having refrigeration.

Personally I've secretly always wanted to start a nudist hostel (of course I'm guessing only in Europe would this be possible) but I always remember my experience doing customer service and the bad guests that made the job hard and unpleasant

North America probably has a mareket aswell, or if you can buy beachfront property in some tropic country the hostel might be a the attraction
