Do you like or dislike the beatles and why?

I don't dislike the Beatles.  But I'm more of a Stones guy.

My favourite three are: Penny Lane, Let it Be and Ticket to Ride.

It was a break from the music mom & dad listened too. Now if asked me I'd say Dark Side of Moon is one of the best of all times. Even now 50 yrs later, it still can still stir something inside you.

Beatles fan here, they just have so many great songs. Like everything they make is good, and as you said they were very influential for music in general.

They key is, like the one AND the other. I'm not a friend of one or another. There are so many good musicians around the world - so Beatles yes "She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah ..."

The Beatles is an extremely hit or miss band in my opinion. They put out some amazing work, Sgt Pepper standing out to me as an all around amazing album. The white album is close to Sgt Pepper to me, but is held back by a few stinkers. Other than those, the Beatles catalogue feels like it has one, maybe two really good songs per album, and then the rest is pretty garbage. And their discography is pretty large so it's kinda a lot of crappy songs, mixed in with works of art

I am a Beatles fan, and they make great music. Their worst music are pretty bad but the good outweigh the bad by a mile.
