Does anyone like Pedro Almodóvar?
I have only watched one of his films, "Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown" or a in spanish "Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios". Great film by the way.

I'm sure I saw this film because my father "discovered" Pedro Almodóvar many years ago (when I was still living with my parents) and he had bought almost all of his films (which had been dubbed into German and were available at the time). Unfortunately, that was so long ago now that I can no longer remember the individual films exactly. I'll have to borrow the movies and watch them again.

I think this director and screenwriter has a sometimes strange sense of humor, but I really like it.

The last Almodóvar movie I saw was "I'm So Excited!" (Los amantes pasajeros) and I thought it was pretty good too. There are now even newer films by him that I haven't seen yet, which is because I rarely watch movies in general...

edit: saying i have a "favorite director" is kind of reductive, and i'm not as big on auteur theory as a lot of people. i just like movies, man

Most if not all Star Trek actors got a dabble in directing and a good few went on to continue as directors after Star Trek

For me, it is Adam Curtis.
He is a documentary director, and he mostly writes and makes them himself. His documentaries are very tought-proving and interesting, since they talk about modern issues and how they came to be.
My favorite documentary of his, is "Century of the self"

I don't watch much movies. One of the only movies Ive watched with unique directing is kill bill by Quentin Tarantino.

For anime, I like Shota Goshozono, Osamu Dezaki, and Kazuhiro Furuhashi
