The beginnings of a new International Young Naturists forum

Hey everyone,

First of all, let me thank you for your patience over these past few days. @Tactic has been talking a lot about upcoming necessary updates to modernize the forum software. Unfortunately, the flow of time was faster than our planning, so our old software became too outdated to use before the new site was set up. Essentially, our hands were forced and we had to speed through the updates before we had every single detail planned out.

So, expect some wonkiness here and there. Not every functionality of the old site has working replacements yet. As Tactic has announced, Bookmarks and PM attachments are gone. Same applies to referral counts. Not to say that those features will not come back in some form, but content that has previously existed is unlikely to make it to the new system.

Same goes for likes and mentions. Both of these are now a core feature of our forum software, which unfortunately means that under-the-hood changes have taken away the existing likes and such. Still, all the more opportunity to start fresh and like content again.

Finally, you may notice that the look has gotten a lot less colorful. The gallery is gone and the individual boards do not have their title images anymore. We are still looking into bringing both back in some form, but we still need to get the details right on what sort of (old and new) content to incorporate. Stay tuned for more.

For now, welcome to the new site. Even if it is still a bit under construction.

I think this new forum will take time to get used to. I hope it will be successful.
I instantly miss the green color of the forum. Also, I find both the sub-board titles and the thread titles hard to navigate since they don't have proper divisions. I also miss the Like function.
For the gallery, I think it's been a great place to show what true naturism and a natural view of the human body should be about. But it's been very big and I do get if it should be narrowed down a bit.

On the upside, if there is a member falloff due to the lack of the gallery, it will show that was the only reason they were here.

Thanks for the update, the forum looks better now :) Two things missing though that were not yet mentioned, is the age of user under their avatar, currently hidden, and the avatars themselves - are they going to be square and bigger again, like in the old layout? Currently they appear in kinda different shapes and are not well visible...

We tried to bring in some of the green accents while still sticking with a very readable theme. Do you have any suggestions where we could benefit from more green?

Can you explain that to me? I do not really see anything where the dividion is unclear.

I absolutely agree with the idea that it is a good thing to allow people to see natural nudity in all its innocence, and to provide a reasonably safe space for people to express themselves. At the same time, we feel that the gallery we had with is relatively lax curation policy was no longer sustainable, so we are still keeping an eye open what the future holds.

We got the plug pulled on the old software version, so we had to scramble to get the new version online as fast as possible.

It's gonna take some getting used to, but I think the new update looks good so far. I do miss the "view unread topics since your last visit" button, though, that's usually my first stop when I log in. Is that not supported by the new host?

I think its just a bit more hidden away now! When you click on your profile image in the top-left of the screen, a new menu opens up. There, you can click "Updated Topics" and "Unread Posts".

Thanks to the team working on the transition. Its never a small job. While we may miss many of the old features, I am sure there will be equally new features and ideas with the update. Looking forward to rediscovering the page.
