I recently stumbled upon this video of the 2012 skinny dip in Gisborne. However, I found it quite interesting how many people were covering up their "privates." Many men were clutching their penises and many women were covering their chests. This is quite strange considering they are all naked, and they don't really have anything to hide. Perhaps it was simply because of the camera? Idk, I simply found that bit interesting. Yes, in the uncensored version some people were covering up; but less then in the censored version.
Thought: this was a SKINNYDIPPING event and not a nudist event. They did run into the water nude - so they did dip their skinnies.

That last point you made makes a lot of sense. I suppose it was more people wanting to experience skinny dipping rather than seasoned nudists accustomed to getting naked around others.
Either way, it looked really fun to participate in.

It's awesome to see how many people took part. With the covering of their dicks, its seems its more common when they are coming out of the water which I guess is cause there were alot of people watching clothed from the beach compared to when they are facing the water at the start when less people seem to be doing it.

It's great though that seems like about one in ten are comfortable and don't try to cover up. Def cool way to introduce new people to nude swimming and the video is a cool way to document it.

I imagine was a first time experience (and maybe the only, besides all time popular skinny dips with friends in the nighttime pool without any people around) for most. Getting that excited thrill of doing something wild.
