Some may remember Rock Bitch a Celtic/pagan progressive rock band from the late 90s early 2000s. They were predominantly English girls living in France as part of a Witches coven who incorporated re-enactments of the sexual pagan rites they practice in thier lifestyle at home into the theatrical stage show. Im not saying the sexual aspect is good or bad for those who chose to buy a ticket and see them live but they certainly had a good attitude to nudity itself, being so much of the time both on stage and at home. That aside they made quite good music and drew good crowds of both genders i imagine for both musical and voyeuristic reasons. They now perform as MT-TV and do not include the nude or sexual component to the live show. Below are some shots from the old days of Rock Bitch on stage.

Yea dannee the audience seemed to love them but the authorities closed them down basically but  i think they are still performing as MT-TV without the nudity or sexual antics.

Have you ever heard about a band called Karmafree? They are a raw food and naturists duet that play some kind of positive music as they say. A duo performes sometimes naked. They claim you can invite them for a performance so maybe some of you will verify if it is true;)

Why are they called "Rockbitch"!?

It is interesting the places that they have played, I wonder how many places they got in trouble with authorities.

Not sure why they were called rockbitch but its possibly due to the fact although originally 50/50 male female they got rid of all the guys bar one due to the testosterone filled bull that came along with them. I think Amanda the bassist and Tony the original lead guitarist (And only guy to remain) coined the name to reflect the idea it was mainly women and women who were going to be themselves no matter what others thought.

The stopped touring due to the authorities in UK first and then others in Europe such as Netherlands and Germany completely banning thier shows. The Cops would wait till the last minute and close down the gig just before they went on so it cost them and the promoter the maximum in cash to break them. Thee band say they cant see why the authorities didnt just let them play without the "Stage show" but the authorities were determined to shut them down altogether. Obviously grown adults are not allowed to make up thier own minds as to what they see. Strip joints and sex shows are fine but you cant combine it with live music it seems. More than anything it was a case of various religious and moral groups (Who would protest at the gigs) stirred it up.

Personally i like some of the music, not all of it but some, and i like thier honesty and openness about both sex, communal living and pagan beliefs. Would i see a show, yea at least once to say i had seen such an outrageous show. Ive seen a couple of documentaries by the BBC and Amsterdam TV on them and alot of what they say (The message behind the music) is very valid even if you dont agree with the method of delivery.
