I'll watch some matches if possible.

Here in Germany, many games aren't broadcast until the middle of the night because of the time difference.
My guess would be Spain, France or England.

I have no interest in sports, but because I live in Toronto I kind of have to engage with this at least marginally since we are hosting it this year. I know nothing about the matches themselves, just that it is plastered all over the city and that the city is busier than I have ever really seen it before on a sustained basis (cuz there have always been one-off events that draw massive crowds, like Toronto pride, but this is going on for weeks).

I don't follow soccer, so I don't actually care about the World Cup, but I do have a funny story related to it

went to the WWI museum in Kansas City and in front of the reflecting pool is a grassy knoll and in that grassy knoll was a FIFA Fan Fest, so you had to walk through the FanFest to get to the museum.

yes I stayed a short while, I had to do a few things while in the area.

my one regret was I wish I had a different hat on, somebody would have recognized the symbol on my hat, its a sports fest,
