In the next hour or so, 16 year old Queenslander Jessica Watson will become the youngest person to sail solo, unassisted, non-stop around the world when she enters Sydney Harbour for the end of the journey which has taken the past 7 months to achieve. Check out her site and blog at http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/

Here's a cool song which is a bit appropriate from Split Enz in 1982...skip to 1:17 on the video t oget the song, the intro is a bit long, but worth it Six Months In A Leaky Boat - Split Enz - HD STEREO

Bloody hell! I know kids get  when they leave school but still! Very well done to that young lady a dream fufilled AND a place in the history books at 16  :66664333 .

I couldn't have put it better myself. That is an amazing achievement. To do it at her age, how is she going to top that for her next adventurer

Lol! Well unfortuantely she's apparently too young (As the rules are now stating you must be over 18 to do it!?!?!?!?), some say she didn't travel far enough above the equator, or travel enough miles (I think the 23,000 nautical miles she did is a little more than the required 21,000, but whatever!)

Who cares, she got off her couch and did something....Way to go Jess!!!!!
