Okay, so as I have the house to myself for the next day or so I did a video tour of the garden (minus commentary as I have no idea which plants are which).

Featuring...

Rabid geese!
Vicious chickens!
Plants!
Trees!
My arse hanging up washing for about seven minutes before I realise the video's still running!
...and a grain store.

As soon as I find the cable to upload of my phone, I shall post it here for your general mockery :P

We shall all be looking forward to the fun times I'm sure.  :543  :345678
Neither a woman as a woman, nor a man as a man, has any special function, but the gifts of nature are equally diffused in both sexes; all the pursuits of man are the pursuits of women also, and in all of them a woman is only a weaker man. --Plato

Growing things is probably one of my favorite hobbies of late. we have a 10ft x 30ft raised bed and try to squeeze as much in there as efficiently as possible.

this year we planted about 10 different varieties of tomatoes, sweet, green, habanero, jalepeno peppers, yellow squash, pattypan squash, spaghetti squash, zucchini, 4 varieties of eggplant, giant pumpkins, watermelon, and cucumber.

in addition to the garden, we have 6 apple trees, blueberry bushes, a strawberry patch and two blackberry brambles (one of native blackberries and one that is a thorn less variety)

and to add on to the first post, we actually have pitcher plants that grow wild in our back yard... I will have to post a picture if they come up again this year.

The colonies lol! I have an organic garden and I compost! I also collect rainwater! I grow tomato, kale, chard, green beans, black beans, broccoli, watermelon, basil, rosemary, cilantro, red and white onion, carrots, radish, pomegranate, and a variety of flowers.

Now that we're living in a flat / apartment we don't have much room to grow anything any more. We have filled our balcony with the pitcher plants. I personally grow superhot chillies and converted the inbuilt cupboard into a grow room.
