I wouldn’t mind trying shuffle board and I really want the club to get a pool table but there’s a bit of resistance to it atm

Pool tables are a pain to set up, cost a tonne and take up so much space. Dont blame them.

Well, we have someone who can get us one with a trolley and we visited a club who had a decent pool table. They had no complaints. The issue we have is “Oh it’ll never get used” well of course it wouldn’t if we don’t have it. There were a couple of the BN sports days where it rained and one in particular the guys were sat around a table in the club house just talking while a child’s Velcro dart board that someone thought adults would enjoy lay untouched. Pool table would have gotten used that day and now it’s dark wet and cold days for the next few months it would be used now. Instead those sports sessions are taking a break when we could have winter activities.

A pool table would be awesome to be fair!

You missed that afternoon when everyone from the sports group was having to sit around in the club house which is still practically a building site and the pavilion was full. We really could have done with a pool table or at least something better than the kids toys some bright spark put out for adults. Wish you guys could come more often tbh.
