Making things with beads
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:03:51 pm »
Since this doesn't seem to be up yet, I thought I'd add something for the crafters out there.  :63424

I'm about creating random things with seed beads or other small type beads. (For those that don't know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seed_bead) I've done things like bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and am currently working on the loom part. I have been doing this for about 15 years now and it's a great way to make something intricate, inexpensive, and beautiful. There are lots of magazines for different types of designs and materials and craft stores everywhere sell these things in different sizes, colors, and textures.

For the fellow beaders out there, what's your best job that you've done (that you think)? What has worked for you throughout your experience and what have you created through your imagination?
Neither a woman as a woman, nor a man as a man, has any special function, but the gifts of nature are equally diffused in both sexes; all the pursuits of man are the pursuits of women also, and in all of them a woman is only a weaker man. --Plato
