#1 was awesome
#2 was a bridge to #3
#3 was pretty good but not as good as #1.

I'm not sure what's left for #4. I'm sure they'll start a whole new story ark, but I get the feeling they're just going to milk this franchise to death.

Well. Zombies? Pirates? Blackbeard? Captain Jack? Looks like this could be a fun sequel! Anyone else heard about it? It looks like a far more adventurously film than it's last two predecessors, which I have to say is a relief. Looks more like the first one which is probably the best one. I have high hopes for this film, which is odd considering I usually get sick to death of films by thief fourth outing.

This movie is really, really boring.

Awfully directed, the action sequences are so lazy and badly coreographed!

At least Johnny Depp still rocks, Jack Sparrow is an awesome character.

Oh, and there's a little extrascene after credits.
A nova geração.

Do you ever feel that when a movie has all these sequels you have an "obligation" to keep watching the next ones because you already started??  Even IF the sequels get worse and worse???

What makes this one bearable: Johnny Depp.

I do! Even if I dont want to, and believe me I dont, the last one sucked. But I know that there will be a time when somebody will buy the DVD and be like "hey you wanna come watch pirates of the caribean with me?" I know that I wont be able to resist because I want to see whats changed since the last one and see if they have made any improvements on the franchise, or meet some new characters that could bring the series back to life.

Short answer, no.  Long answer, as long as its fun and has Johnny in it, no.   :422

OK, why I have this strange feeling that you girls would sit in a cinema for two hours watching a still image of Johnny Depp, and comment that movie was great?  :p  :786

Apparently no woman can resist Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp is awesome!
One thing I've noticed though is that all the characters he played so far have at least one screw loose
(Maybe that's why I like the characters Johnny Depp plays so much )

Maybe this way he doesn't have to act... :p

I think that he is a really great actor.  Maybe I have a screw loose too

Try to notice it, every character he played so far, except for maybe his character in A Nightmare On Elm Street, are "crazy" characters
Even in the horror movie Secret Window, based on the book by Stephen King, he plays a "not normal" character

Personally I think the best actors are the actors who can play a bad guy or a crazy guy very well

Have you seen "Finding Neverland"?  It is an excellent movie and it was hard to believe it was Depp at first, so different from his more well known roles.  It is obvious that he is a talented serious actor.

Yes
Excellent movie with brilliant acting by Johnny Depp and all the other actors
And again he plays a character with a kind of psychological problems, which of course prove his acting skills
