Oakland tied for first in the AFC West? My main reason for loving this season so far has been the unpredictability, especially with no clear cut winner in some of the divisions (AFC West, AFC South, NFC West). The general vibe at work is the Atlanta Falcons going all the way this year.

Oh and I'd like to congratulate the Detroit Lions on their 25th straight road loss, setting a new and breaking their old NFL record.

So I'm 0-4 so far in my Playoff predictions, did anybody seriously pick the Seahawks to win?

Does it count that I jokingly said they would?  Saints just had to learn the lesson that when no one picks your opponent to win, be very very careful.

So I'm 0-4 so far in my Playoff predictions, did anybody seriously pick the Seahawks to win?

So far I'm 2 & 2

Not only did I so not pick them to win I think it a travesty that they were allowed in the playoffs with a losing record.  The Saints underestimated them too, the problem was that they had to play the S'hawks while I just sat agape.  I guess that resting the entire S'hawks team throughout the season paid off.

The Colts lost a squeaker to Porcus Rex & Gang Green.  Pity, but they should have played harder earlier.

The Packers vs Eagles game was a victory for puppies everywhere.  Yay!!!  Also it was a victory for Donovan McNabb who got dumped in favour of a budget QB - the Eagles won more games last year with McNabb.  Nice going Andy.  I know that Vick has talent but at 30 years old he's sacrificing too much of his body in the attempt to make it to the Super Bowl.  It showed on Sunday.

The Ravens did precisely as I predicted after watching the Raiders thrash the Chiefs in the last game of regular season play.

NEXT ... I predict
Steelers over Ravens,  Pats over Jets, Packers over Falcons & Bears over Seahawks

THEN ...
Steelers over Pats & Packers over Bears

THEN ...
Steelers over Packers (we Steelers fans need another Super Bowl win - it has been sooo  long)

Anyone else prepared to go out on a limb?  I will run an extra 10km for every game I picked incorrectly.

Reminds me of myself all through the 2008 Playoffs with the Cardinals.

I still think the whole playoff system needs to be restructured, get rid of the "free pass with winning the division".

Ravens over Steelers
Patriots over Jets
Patriots over Ravens

Falcons over Packers
Seahawks over Bears
Falcons over Seahawks

Patriots over Falcons

I should wager something for every game I pick incorrectly to.......

I like Gamez's ending better, sorry Ælf, I just can't stand the Steelers  :1234 Although I would like to see Pete Carroll take his team to the Super Bowl. Go Pats!   :2345

Oh dear, this means I'm going to have to pay more attention to football.  My BF and his family are all Raiders fans but all games are watched and critiqued.  So far the only things I know for sure are: Raiders, Steelers & Ravens = good;  Broncos & Patriots = evil.  Oh, and something about Tom Brady being the "Stepford Quarterback," an evil robot from another planet.

I shall bow to your superior experience regarding American football and the who's who of evil there; it is all quite new to me.  It used to think it quite comical that a bunch of grown men would put on armour to play rugby but now that I have watched the game together with knowledgeable people I understand the need.  I am by default a Raiders fan but unsure exactly why that should be so.  I expect I will learn more while watching replay games.

sorry Ælf, I just can't stand the Steelers  :1234

If that is so why did you use a smiley of a Steelers lineman mooning you.  Didn't you ever notice that most smileys are in Steelers colours?  They smile because they are winners?

The Buffalo Bills do play a game every year in Toronto.

Actually as I gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the NFL, there aren't really any teams I can't stand.  Now their fans on the other hand....

That comes with pretty much everything, my policy has always been to remain professional minus the occasional ribbing. I did keep my mouth shut when I went to the Raiders\Chiefs games two weeks ago, I was way too outnumbered.
