How often do you play video games?

My senior year has been so busy so far that I've barely had any time to sign on to Xbox live and play. Yesterday and today have been the first time I've had my system on in weeks! So I was just wondering, how often are you able to get your game on?

Typically every day, unless I'm not in the mood for it.  My wife allows it because it helps me de-stress after work.

I have no video games.
Is that bad?
I can live very well without these games.
Since I have games such as backgammon, checkers or chess much better.
As you can see the enemy in the eye and also happen to be entertained.

I would call myself a gamer, but it is just a hobby. and as such is not something that is a must.  If it becomes a must in my life then I need to stop and get help.

if i get a new game and it's good, i play it every night i am home.  but once i have completed it or had my fun with it, i tend to leave off gaming until the next game i get.

It's about the same with me. I'd call myself "casual hardcore gamer". Sometimes I do not play video games for month, but when there's a good game, I play about every spare minute. Usually it takes me less than a week to finish a game (I'm talking "The Witcher" or "Mass Effect", games like "Crysis" mostly take a single session to finish).

Same! Won't play for months on end and then BAM, lost for a week :P

I usually play video games if the following conditions are met:

1. I have nothing important like schoolwork or other jobs.
2. None of my favorite sports teams are playing.
3. I have time to play for at least an hour.
4. I have an entertaining game.

The first three conditions are met usually every three days, and the fourth condition is usually met every month or so. The most I play in one sitting is probably three hours.

Never, unless you can call playing Patience and Minesweeper on my laptop sometimes playing a video game

I barely play video games.  I guess I got most of it out of me when I was a kid when that would be all I did.  However it does suck when my X360 tag is the only one below 10K points.  Part of it is that it's hard for me to get sucked into a game.  That'll probably change for Fable 3 though.

It really just depends on my mood and what I currently have to play. When I got Mass Effect 1 and 2 I got very addicted and must have played for a few solid weeks straight. Usually it's just an hour or two every once or twice a week when I'm in the mood. Although when I was playing World of Warcraft it was usually 5-6 hours a day every day.
