Also, video games do not contribute to obesity, unlike TV because people don't munch on fattening snacks when they need their two hands on the keyboard / controller (according to another study).

There are several studies similar to this one. I'm not really surprised, reactions and decision-making have to be trained like everything else, and a game that forces you to make decisions within a short period of time will increase these abilities.

Very true, and they also sharpen your spacial awareness, mental compass, and mental mapping abilities.
