I finally took the plunge. Got a nice pay rise at work and thought sod it! So im now on lesson 4 of 35 of learning to fly a motor glider!

It's a Venture motor glider. Cruises at 60 knots. The cheapest way I know of to get a pilots license. It's £78 an hour which isn't cheap but significantly cheaper that learning on a Cessna for example.

Advantage of motor glider? If it's a nice sunny day you can just turn the engine off and become a glider and go thermalling!
