The sims and nudism
« on: September 26, 2010, 05:00:44 am »
I just got the sims 2. I have the sims and successfully made a complete set of nudist skins and meshes for them by collecting and modding other skins and meshes. It took a lot of research and time. Does anyone have any good leads on nudist skins and meshes for the Sims2?
And I mean hell if you have to live the rest of your life in a memory you might as well make it a good one.

Most of those sites are not really of the kind that is supposed to be named in a youth forum. Personally, I prefer Warlokk's high-res meshes at Insimenator's sister site for the ladies, and Crammyboy's penis mod (well, he called it another word for rooster) for the gentlemen. It allows for some slight variety in the shape department and requires no skin overrides that might affect some custom skin-tight clothing, as well as a fair number of non-enhanced custom body shapes, but it needs to be configured and could look kind of silly in some poses (which is why I chose a perspective that hid it in the sofa shot). There is another version of it which comes with a lot more choices in the various sizes (and excitement states :45), but that thing uses fairly high-res textures by default, which, if you play with cartoonish sims like I do, sticks out (pardon the pun) too much. Both versions can be found on the sister site of Mod The Sims (I think), Crammyboy's version is also at More Awesome Than You.

Thanks for the help you are right there are too many bad sites out there. I wish some one would just post this stuff in a yahoo group or something.

There are, plenty of them in fact, but most are equally bad. You can generally find most nudity around porn, just like with every other media.
I wonder who else plays The Sims around here, or if there is some networked variety or clone that permits private communities. Might be fun to build some sort of virtual village.

I like that idea! Would be a good way to have IYNO get-togethers. I don't play it or have it, but if anyone knows their way around the internet a little, they could easily get it for free ...  :76

I actually looked into multiplayer life simulations some time ago, but most simply lack the charm and simplicity of The Sims games, and only Second Life had the ability to host decent independent servers without horrendous fees to the provider through a third-party server program. There have been attempts to revive The Sims Online (or EA Land, as it was called towards the end of its lifespan), but most shut down due to either copyright concerns or a complete lack of coders.

I've found some more than decent female skins online. Male skins however are rare and all I've come across have raging hard-ons. And of course, any type of sims nudity is embedded in sex oriented sites and have vulgar terms for the files.

Yeah, I recall the early days of TS2 modelling, where erect penises for women arrived earlier than relaxed male ones. But nowadays, it should be easy to get a variety in any state. Marvine and Beosboxboy in particular do not only offer a variety of body shapes (which I personally consider more annoying than useful, having to match a skintone with a certain set of clothes, which results in gigantic menu clutter and the potential for weirdness), but also within certain shapes a variety of genital arrangements ranging from fairly normal to obscenely large. Generally, though, I prefer Crammyboy's solution, which, while also named with terms found more often in erotica, is in "non-combat" state by default, can be configured for variety and supports children as well, which is impossible using the classic body model modification, because child bodies are still unisex. Unless you are into girl penises of course.

I Have found some stuff for sims 2. I have had the same trouble I had with one. Right now I am touching up my sims 1 nudist skin pack. Right now I have Swim, Formal, PJ, Winter, and general skins. Right now I am playing around with body painting for the child skins to put in the vacation buyables.

Second life is cool. If some one had their own land in SL you can set it so only club members can access it. So you can completely avoid gawkers and pervs.

P.S. If anyone wants my Sims naturist skin pack let me know and as soon as I have it prepped I will find somewhere to post it. I also have the adobe files to make body painting skins. Also does anyone think I should make adult body paint skins for the adult beachwear buyables?

SL is actually somewhat decent to set up. There is a 3rd party server system compatible with SL viewers (which would give independence from the microeconomy and nudity without age restrictions, but would require hosting the system, meaning either server costs or being limited to times when a certain user has spare network and CPU as well as his PC up). However, I do not really like the character design; pretty much everything aside from a fully-modeled fursuit looks somewhat awful (which explains the abundance of furries in the game). Also, the full-modeled building and item design of SL might be a little more complicated than the grid-based system Sim games offer.

I did have nude sims for the 1st version of the game.  However, it wasn't an honest nudist depiction though.  All adult males had erections all the time.  Don't the ED med commercials tell you to call the doctor for that?  It was crap.

Well, the target market for many of those mods is porn addicts, so turning the game into a Large Hardon Collider is an expectable side-effect. There are more decent model replacements though, especially for the later, full-3d games.

Actually the adult male mesh I have isn't erect. They actually look somewhat realistic for a sims game. I thought about scaling it down for the male child mesh but it looks a little too much like a tiny adult for my comfort. The women aren't too "over endowed". The girls mesh is basically the same as the boy mesh.

But I do hear you on the porn thing. The worst thing I found was a "fun bed" some sicko modified so all ages could use it. I am ending this post right now I need to shower thinking about that!

I found some great female skins, but male skins are a bit too much work to find and put in game and put to use. Too much work I say! Anyone jus have a good set of nude "clothes"?
