Poetry competition

Hi,

on 1. October starts here the poems competition.

The rules:

- Each member of the IYNO can post only one poem.

- The theme to be seen to be in the poem.

The first prize is the publication of the poem on the IYNO main page.

On first November start the voting and the voting ends on 30 November.

The theme I call on 1 October.

Christmas is the best time of year,
I feel the fire warm me from my toes to my ears
My skin gets bumps,
Mother calls them gooses
I still want to have fun, but mother always chooses.
I enjoy a hot cup of tea then mommy sends me to sleep,
I complain and moan,
but mother says "Even if Santa comes, you'll never know."
I drag my weary feet to bed and rest my sleepy head

I sleep till the clock strikes 12
I dream of happy Christmas elves.
I hear some thumps and some bells,
Some sleighs as well
And what do you know?
Mother was wrong! Saint Nick made it through the snow!
I sit patiently under the Christmas tree
To see what will be
I wait
I wait
and I wait
Finally I see something
Saint Nick's shoes!
Then he pops out the chimney and I cry "Mommy, Santa is naked too!"

As there is only one poem here i thought i should offer some competition though its not as good as the one already posted
