Well, I too have an entry.  I know that it isn't up to the standard of the other two but so what!

I tried to do a haiku but it didn't work out all that well.  Two words:  succinct, sucked

So, I know that this will intrude into Stuart's field of expertise but I'll risk it:

We have a young naturists' forum
with a café, some clubs and a dorm
there is both prose and verse
plus a limerick curse
and discussion requires no quorum

There are usually significant threads
from members with brains in their heads
but few odd polemics
nor flame epidemics
from people who've gone off their meds

A lot of the comments are funny
and the general demeanor is sunny
we discuss current trends
with a circle of friends
where a Wolf can be pals with a Bunny

This is my favorite so far :D

So which of the poems is better?  Which of the poems should win?  Two separate questions really.  Looking at things from an admittedly non-disinterested point of view I would have to say that mine is the better poem.  However, my poem is more about how I arrived at IYNO, than about IYNO itself.  Aelf's poem is more about IYNO itself and that, as I understand it, is really the theme for this contest.  Aelf's three related limericks display a very light touch with the subject and is much more descriptive of it.  Therefore I think that Aelf's is the poem that should win.    :34567

On Thursday, ending the period in which you can submit your poems, then begins the time of voting.

The time of the vote has begun.
Here are all participants with their poems.

IYNO, what a forum
The ultimate cure for reckless boredom
Meet natursts and make new friends
Just get naked, there are no trends
You'll never find a site so welcoming
You'll never meet people quite so inspiring
Dont be shy, go on and chat
Take off your clothes, doesn't matter if your fat
Size, race and religion, none of that matters
There are no judges, everyone just natters
See the human body in all its glory
Enter a competion and write a poem or a story
Theres much to do and you never get bored
And its completely free so you can afford
Yeah it sounds like an advert but its all true
So log on today, I cant wait to meet you

Dreamwalk

Setting down to write for Pitti
Man this topic is rough
Citti, ditti, ritti!
Oh man, I hope this is enough
Surely not though, so I continue onward,
To tell you about the wonderful stuff!
Friends from afar and right next door
Fun and games all all forms of recreation
Don't stop writing yet, there's so much MORE!
Like cultures from a wide selection of nations.
I'm starting to get writer's block, so I'll end it here
Next time you're wondering to what site to go
Get out of you clothes and off your rear
And visit IYNO!

Jann

I searched the internet for days
I saw so much my eyes would glaze
I'd google, sample and I'd sieve
to find a place where nudists live
where I might be accepted

The offerings out there on the net
were myriad and are so yet
at each I'd look and then inspect
and one by one I would reject
for they were not legit

I sought a cheerful active place
a friendly port in cyberspace
within a clever youthful forum
but old folks proved far more the norm
just like the clubs themselves

Then one fine day to my delight
I found a nudist clubhouse site
it seemed okay so I signed on
but soon found out that I was wrong
it was largely for the old

Inhabited by wrinkly folks
they were concerned with silly jokes
but hadn't much at all to say
about the issues of the day
concerning younger people

There everyone was L-O-L
the laughter it would rise and swell
but the content of the average post
was banal at the very most
soon I was disenchanted

But in that clubhouse I was told
of another place, a youthful fold
so I cleared out, then I came here
the difference is crystal clear
and this is why I'm staying

There are no flames, there are few fights
disputes are quickly set to rights
when I sign on here ev'ry morn
I find no phishers, pervs or porn
no posers playing games

I  Y  N  O is a fine place
my favourite haunt in cyberspace
where discussions are eclectic
conversations seldom hectic
and friends meet, talk and grow

Thank you so much.  This is so unexpected.  It was an honour just to be nominated but to have won is so incredible.  I would like to thank all members of the Academy for their votes, my father and teachers for their support of my early efforts, my publisher for her constant encouragement, and of course I want to thank the fans.  I would also like to thank Jann for her gracious concession even before the voting --- I really thought that hers was the better poem and I voted for it.

And Wolfie, thanks so much for the virtual cup, it will have a place of honour on my virtual shelf.   :4321

Very gracious indeed . . . you could give lessons to Oscar nominees.

Oh well, you cannot win them all.  I am saving my luck in hopes of a future Booker Prize.
