In my opinion, The Hobbit is the worst of them, but it is still a great book, with a light story, less epic than the other books.

It was meant for his kids. It's a neat funny little story if you read it with the right kind of expectations.

And since I just go to those movies to put a visual on the stories I read, I'm going to enjoy the 3D on this one.

Real 3D with 3D cameras. Not post-processing BS 3D that kills the picture quality.

I call a Fujifilm W3 mine, so I appreciate the real3D technqiue  :66664333, as long as they spend enough attention to the precision.

i couldn't be more thrilled that peter jackson is doing this (he needs something to make up for the lovely bones).  plus, i think they'll still be using guillermo del toro's designs from when he was slated to direct.  it's going to be awesome.

This is good news.

Little interesting info I had watched with interview.  Originally he was going to make Hobbit but when studio heard, they wanted him to do the Lord of the Rings instead.

And for people who think hobbit is worse.  Do realize it was his first book that he originaly designed for his kids.  From there we created what we know as the Tolken universe.

More casting!

Cate Blanchett returns! Woo. The site also reports that former Doctor Who Sylvester McCoy will play the wizard Radagast the Brown (which had been rumored), Ken Stott (Charlie Wilson's War) will be the dwarf Lord Balin, Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt is now to forever be known as the skin-changer Beorn, Ryan Gage (Outlaw) is Drogo Baggins, Jed Brophy (a LOTR vet) is the dwarf Nori and William Kircher will play the dwarf Bifur.

Wow, Peter Jackson lost a lot of weight, huh?
A nova geração.

After unions almost forcing the production off NZ's shores, Peter Jackson recovering from a perforated ulcer, and  I'm glad to see this is finally proceeding.  It just wouldn't be right being made anywhere else.  Or directed by anyone else in my opinion.

I'm still waiting for that live action Evangelion film they were talking about making.  Though it is a bit of an iffy proposition giving anime a real life treatment.
