As Time Goes By

I wrote a poem..I haven't been on much because I'm going through a lot right now. I know it's no ones concern and you may all have your own problems, and that's understandable. One thing I'm dealing with right now is moving, I'm moving from where I live and closing this chapter in my life. I wrote a poem to sum it all up, enjoy.

Memories fill this house,

I remember when Boo ate that mouse.

When Jake spent the night,

When Tylor made me fight.

The time we put up the Christmas tree,

But really no one helped so it was just me.

The time when Toni and Jr had a dance off,

And Tylor just watched because of his bad cough.

The time I laughed all the way up the street,

Toni helped me up, but still I’d weep.

The time Corina spent the night, and Dough got a pen to the butt

We laughed so hard, everyone told us to shut up.

The time I baked ginger breads and everyone ate them,

They’d sneak one every now and then.

The time we broke into that abandoned place,

I put on a mask and scared everyone with my face.

The time, Jake, Gen, and I fell asleep,

We were telling jokes till no one said a peep.

The day I ran away,

Tylor stayed by my side and insisted to stay.

The time we all had a photo shoot,

We all messed around and wouldn’t stop grabbing Edgars boob.

The summer we painted our room,

And I turned around only to my doom,

Gwn said she missed a spot,

When really it was just her evil plot;

The paint took hours to wash out of my hair.

The time Tyler prank called Toni,

The question repeating was “Shrimp Fried Rice?

The time we roamed the night,

Some guy wanted me in the pool with him, but you guys wouldn’t let him take me without a fight.

We’d walk around bare foot,

Feel the warm summer floor on our feet.

And that summer wind,

If things changed we’d all win.

The day I was so mad,

And Tylor wanted to kick Reid’s ass.

This was the first place I got high,

With Tylor, Brandon, and some random guy.

This place held a lot of first,

Like Gen’s first kiss,

The first time Tylor and I kissed.

The first time Gen got high,

The first time she got with a guy.

                                                                The first time I had sex,

The next day was filled with regret.

That time we all slept at the park,

We all cuddled in the warm summer dark.

The time we walked to circle K at 2am

We had to sneak around ‘cause the curfew is 10pm.

The time we all drove around looking for a place to sleep,

But the car was stuffed and it was hard to breath.

From falling asleep at the donut shop,

To trying not to get stopped by cops.

Going a week without coming home,

Staying at Nick’s ‘cause he was home alone.

Having bon fires at 5am

Waking up to someone I just met.

That time I sang crappy songs about sex to Ana,

I always rhymed her name with banana.

That time we went to Denny’s at 6am,

And Marvin insisted on going to Vegas.

That time we snuck out of Marvins, his mom was being so shitty,

 To rescue Adrian from his suicidal stupidity.

The time we all had a picnic on the grass,

We all cuddled at looked at the stars.

The time we all got high at the park,

Spanky was running around and we got him so high he started to bark.

That time we stripped down and jumped in the pool,

Then the security guy came and we all looked like fools.

That time we all sat down and painted,

So tired at the end of the day, we felt wasted.

The day we went to the beach for my birthday,

And the end I thought it was the worse day.

Driving home in Liz’s convertible,

Feeling so safe in his arms, thought the feeling was irreversible

                                                               That time we all got high,

We attacked my kitchen and ate everything.

My mom was so pissed, we could all hear her scream.

The time we all sat around and pulled papers out of a hat,

Some questions about sex and things like that.

Having everyone here,

And now everyone slowly disappears.

Now, where I sit in a lonely room,

Filled with memories that lead me to my doom.

But something’s are hardly missed,

A kiss is still a kiss,

A guy is just a guy.

The fundamental things apply as time goes by.

I love this poem, it feels like I was there with you the whole time even though I have never even met you. Its a shame you have to move away but just cherish the memories you have and use them for comfort in the future and not to hurt you cos there in the past
