Interesting documentary and does raise quite a few interesting points, indeed why if it is just all boys (or girls) is there any need to wear trunks?

I think the videos mentioned that girls did swim naked in a few places.

There might have been an issue with feminine hygiene products. I could be totally wrong about this, but I think that back then teenaged girls used pads rather than tampons because they were concerned about damaging their hymen.

1. My school doesn't take us to the pool

2. No one would ever voluntarily skinny dip!

The people back in the days were lucky if they got the choice!

When I was at school they never took us to the pool and would not let us swim naked. I wish for the good old days

At the end of the radio show, it was somewhat mixed.  The host talked about how there were many schools that didn't have nude swimming but their pools got contaminated.  It's really hard to say he was against nude swimming or against it.  The guys that were on the show that actually swam nude in school seemed pretty neutral about it.  They weren't exactly excited about it but didn't act like they were traumatized about it or anything.

I liked how the host ended it.  He said that even though there were some boys that were relieved when nude swimming ended, he feels that something was missing, implying that non-sexual nudity isn't a bad thing.

Overall, this was a great history lesson.
