All time best game?

THE ELDER SCROLS IV: OBLIVION!

I jut started playing that game so far

yes i am pre ordering skyrim. the games graphics look AMAZING

i really like oblivion IV... i have the ps3 one and i have a strong mage 
but the invisibility spell is too strong... i cast invisibility->random range spell->invisibility and so until the enemy dies....
i think the most fascinating game ever is okami! although it's an old game, i've never found another gameplay so cool! some brush-techniques were really amazing! like that kind of infinity symbol that becomes a giant fireball!! or the lightning!! and the wind *-* too cool ù_ù

yeah but it's the style and the setting of the game that require it
and i think that is good, if the game was with an american setting perhaps it won't have the charm that has now :)
the brush with ink to draw ideograms is an asian thing XD

For me it's a tie between The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (the most perfect game I have ever played) and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (the most absorbing game world I have ever been in).

Completely forgot Ocarina of Time...Spent hours on that game, and still nothing new compares!

I can only pick one game? Can't I pick 10 (or 20) favorite ones?  I'll have to go with the Descent series for DOS/Win 95. I know, super old school :)

Favorite console is easy for me. That one is the PS2 because of the extensive game library and backwards-compatibility.

I have to agree with you tolkien..I think PS2 was the best console...It had the most games at the time I had it, which is why ill never get rid of it

Most of my friends who are into gaming are nintendo people - so I try to keep my sony allegiance quiet.   

Nintendo's pretty good - good systems and good games, but I still think Sony's got 'em beat, at least when it comes non-handheld consoles. Now on the other hand as far as handhelds go Nintendo is supreme.

I've spent thousands of hours playing on my PS2, and although I mainly play on PC now, I'm quite sure I will keep the console as long as it works.
