I would assume the individual matches are one-on-one.

True. Skype match would be tempting, now all I need now is an overhead cam.  :undecided:

I started playing that game before summer break and beat the game. I guess I say I'm a average player not really an expert but it's more fun playing the game than trying to be better than the rest
Have fun and don't let every small thing get to you.

I loved Mirrodin. My friends stopped playing so I did, since I had no one to play with.
My favorite deck was my slivers deck. I had a cleric deck, and at one point a wizard deck. But I sold it. I also had a token deck. Good times :)

Was it THE slivers deck? The one that got basically banned for being stupidly powerful?

It was based off of the one you could buy. But I put in a lot of the old ones. And I had Sliver Overlords and Sliver Queens in there. It could be really powerful, but the problem is it was a 5 color deck, so if you somehow got a bad shuffle you were screwed.
They key is to pick off everything as soon as someone puts it down. Slivers aren't powerful on their own, so you just have to be quick. I had a friend who had all old decks, like, all the cards had white boarders. And the thing about the older cards and older players is that those games go really quick, newer games always seem to be slow and drag out.

Yeah.  It took a good while for my elf deck to get enough balance that a bad shuffle wasnt an issue. That comes with deck building experience and play testing.

I started playing MtG when the Innistrad block came around. Now I have been a bit off the game because of uni and I haven't been
around the same time as the usual MtG group on campus.

But I am hoping to get in the game again, but I need to boost up my decks. So far I have been gathering cards but need to use them on decks.
