Hi all,
My awareness of nudism goes way back to January 1979 when I had just turned 8 and it came on TV when my adult cousins from Australia were visiting Manchester. I had vague memories of it until I downloaded the whole episode today.
It's a lovely and professionally produced piece of work which talked about the growing naturist movement that was spreading throughout Europe and some parts of the UK, mostly focused on Cape d'Agde, Denmark and Yugoslavia. There was a little bit about America but the people in the doco strongly wanted to be called 'naturists' and they disliked the term 'nudist' because to them it sounded like a cult thing.
They interview a 16-year-old boy who was raised as a nudist by his parents, a young lady who worked as a teacher experiencing it for the first time, a nudist club operator, and also showed a vintage nudist film that was made in the late 50's called "Travelling Light". Great doco which is available on The Box, and I recommend everybody watches it. :)
