Personally I would like to learn to paint like the great renaissance masters. By that I would need to learn to paint people realistically, and a more traditional detailed ability with landscapes. My tastes run towards realism and landscapes, but I would like some ability to with buildings just in case. I've had a request for a Cabin in the Woods painting which took me many many renditions to get to an acceptable point.
At the moment my only painting training comes from the wonderful man that was Bob Ross. His quick and easy wet on wet oil painting style was a breeze for me and for many to learn. He left behind some video lessons which I've gone through. There is a local studio of his where they go through and do a painting with you step by step which can be quite educational.
I attached some of my stuff: The Cypress Swamp was from one of the classes, The Secluded Beach is all mine and my best made people yet, The Cabin in the is the final version that I sold, and the Kissimmee Pathway is painted from a picture I took on a hike in Kissimmee, FL.
I do well enough, but I love art, and love having the ability to create beauty and express the beauty that I see in a way that others stop and notice it too. As such I would love to learn any techniques that would help me do so.
