Nude Sting impresses yoga buffs

STING has impressed Sydney yogis at a Darlinghurst yoga centre with his stunning flexibility and his open-minded attitude to change room nudity.

The British singer/songwriter has been in Sydney for a series of concerts but has taken time out to practice Bikram yoga at a popular Sydney centre between shows and has accepted an invitation to catch up with his fellow British performer George Michael while in town.

On Tuesday morning he attended a 90 minute class at the centre and, observed one man who had attended an earlier class, was more than comfortable with his nudity in the change rooms.

TVS community television presenter Yianni Zinonos said he and Sting were in a state of mutual undress when Zinonos looked at the face of the standing man next to him and made the observation: "Gee, you look a lot like Sting."

The muso was silent, prompting Zinonos to push on: "Do people ask you if you are Sting?"

Zinonos said the man next to him said, "yes" prompting Zinonos to put the question: "Are you Sting?".

The frontman of The Police then admitted that he indeed was the famous singer which prompted the delighted Zinonos to inform the naked muso: "You know George Michael's in town?" "Yes I do," he says Sting responded. "I'm going to catch up with him."

Another yoga enthusiast who attended the class and spotted the naked singer emailed Confidential to say that, at age 59, Sting is in ultra-toned and fit condition.

Hey yeah he is in Sydney at the moment. Tonight is the last night of his 4 performances (2 inside and 2 on the forecourt) at the Sydney Opera House. He does seem to be enjoying himself. Great to see his attitude to nudity is so relaxed. Thanks for posting this Danee.
