NBA Playoffs
« on: May 03, 2011, 12:27:46 am »
I don't watch very much sports, but I have been caught up watching the NBA Playoffs this year. The Miami Heat have moved on to round 2 against the Celtics. Who else cares about the NBA Playoffs and which team are you following and who will make it to the final round?

As always, I will be heavily rooting for my Los Angeles Lakers and heavily rooting against the Boston Celtics.

Rooting against Miami that's for sure. LeBron is the poster boy for what is wrong with people his age.  He couldn't win it on his own like the great players before him so gave up way too fast and just tried to hitch his ride to a guaranteed winner.

I am 90% sure that the Lakers will make it to the final game now that the Spurs are gone. It is hard to think of another team that would be able to beat them in the playoff format. I'm surprised that the Lakers lost to the Hornets in 2 games. I'm thinking that Miami will be able to pull off a win for the Eastern Conference and have to face the Lakers for the final game.

Well It'd be good to see Kobe vs. LeBron in that, and it would be a pretty tongue in cheek moment if the Heat lose since LeBron went to win the Championship

The Heat v. Lakers is my prediction for the championship set; who will win that final set? that is an excellent question. The Lakers have an excellent duo in Kobe and Artest. The Heat have an excellent Trio in James, Wade and Bosch. The final few games will only get more interesting to watch.

I am extremely bothered by this series, it was unbearable to watch. I don't think I've ever used this many swear words within the span of a week in my life.

I don't know what to think for the finals; the Bulls are formidable opponents and the Heat are doing well. I'm shocked that Memphis lost to the Thunder, both teams played well as all 7 games were played. The sad fact is that the Lakers not only lost to the Mavs, but that they got swept by the Mavs in only 4 games. That's why I favor the Mavs to win the west. I hope Miami wins the east and that the final will be Miami v. Mavs.

Congratulations to the pride of Texas the Dallas Mavericks on beating the Miami Heat in six games to win the NBA Championship! Although I'm a tad bit biased for hailing from Texas myself (okay more than a tad bit...), no team is more deserving of a championship. With this victory, Dirk Nowitzki, originally from Germany, has finally gained long overdue recognition as a superstar in the NBA!

Heat who?

As much as i was disappointed and disgusted to see the way the Lakers got swept by the Mavs, I really do have to give it up to them for a great NBA Finals showdown.

So much respect for the MAVs. Even though Dirk wasn't having his best game, Jason Kidd and Jason Terry really stepped up. It was a great team effort.
